If you want to finish the year strong, this is the moment to align.
As summer winds down, you've got a rare window:
12 weeks.
12 weeks before the holiday crush hits.
12 weeks to align your teams to finish strong... or let it slip away.
When I led internal communications for a company of more than 30,000 employees across the U.S., this stretch was always make-or-break.
Don't wait for Q4.
Now is the time to get crystal clear on direction and make sure managers can communicate it with confidence and credibility.
Here are the questions I use I help executive teams pressure-test their alignment during this stretch:
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗶𝗱-𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿
Not just for the company, but for your people.
If they can't picture what good looks like, they won't prioritize it.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗵?
Think:
• Misaligned priorities
• Leaders sending mixed signals
• Messaging that isn't targeted—the right message, to the right people, at
the right time
• Lack of time or tools to activate the message
• No feedback loop to catch confusion early
If you don't create clarity, you'll create drag.
𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗽𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀
Do they understand the strategy?
Do they feel confident sharing it?
Do they have the capacity, tools, and support to translate it into meaningful team action?
Good news? If you don't know the answers for your org, you still have time.
The better news? With the right communication strategy, this doesn't have to be hard.
Getting employee alignment is about creating clarity, delivering clear messaging, and providing repeatable tools.
